Virtual Assistant at Virtalent
With an MBA in Marketing and a Masters in Marketing & Communication Studies, as well as over 10 years of experience in senior international marketing roles, London-based Elisa began working as a Virtual Assistant in 2015 to escape the office routine and work around her growing family needs.
Elisa tells us her story:
I am a highly organised, positive and independent professional with extensive international experience in consumer marketing and retail. I’ve worked for big organisations as well as start-ups. My skill set includes brand management, strategic planning, digital marketing and events. When not working I enjoy playing with my 2 daughters, cooking typical Italian feasts (honouring my origins) for my friends, reading and travelling.
Why did you want to work as a Virtual Assistant?
I started working as a Virtual Assistant about 2 years ago, while on extended maternity leave with my second daughter. I felt stuck in my position as Marketing Manager for a fast-growing London-based retail company. My job was not giving me enough challenges. I was bored and I felt I needed some fresh air and a new perspective. I feel very gratified by supporting other people and helping them achieve their goals, both personally and professionally, so becoming a Virtual Assistant looked like a very interesting career to me.
What tasks do you support your clients with?
I work with my client to provide course bookings and admin support. I manage emails and calendars, I reply to enquiries, book students onto new courses, book travel arrangements and do various financial admin tasks. In a nutshell, I am responsible for the smooth running of the business on a day to day basis.
Why do you enjoy working at Virtalent?
Virtalent gave me an amazing opportunity to work for such an interesting client. Even if I work remotely from my home office, I feel I am part of a structured organisation that value my contribution, listen to my feedback and offer great support when I need it.
